Full Time, 84 twenty-four hour shifts a year + $130 an hour for weekday shifts and $150 an hour for weekend and holiday shifts

Responsibilities may include the following:

• Physician shall provide or be available to provide on-call services and make hospital rounds on patients as appropriate.
• Physician shall have responsibility for unassigned and uninsured obstetrics and gynecology patients presenting through the Washington Hospital Emergency Department. The Hospitalists in this situation will be the “admitting physician” and will be considered the “Physician of record.”
• Responsibility to assist the private OB/GYN’s on Washington Hospital’s medical staff with their L&D Unit patients when the private OB/GYN’s cannot be present in Labor & Delivery.  The private OB/GYN in this situation will be considered the “admitting physician” and the “physician of record.”
• Assist in emergencies, management questions, medication questions and utilization questions/ decisions.
